Risk rules your broker enforces before the trade

GodFin checks your orders against your own risk rules before they reach your broker. Non-custodial: your funds stay with your broker, and GodFin only enforces the limits you set.

Your unified rules: 2% risk per trade, 20% maximum position, a warning at a 4% daily loss, a hard lockout at 5% daily loss, and a 20% total drawdown kill switch.

Risk enforcement, in plain terms

Set your limits once. Every order is checked against them before it reaches your broker. An order that breaks a rule is blocked. An order that passes goes on to your broker.

Risk Management

Position sizing limits, daily-loss controls, and drawdown protection, enforced before the trade:

  • At most 2% of equity at risk per trade
  • At most 20% of equity in any one position
  • Warning at a 4% daily loss
  • Hard lockout at a 5% daily loss
  • Kill switch at a 20% total drawdown

Prop-firm accounts also get the firm's drawdown, daily-loss, and contract limits, with safety buffers.

Broker Integrations

When a connection is live, orders that pass your risk gate are sent to your broker. Orders that break a rule are blocked before they reach your broker. GodFin is non-custodial and does not hold your funds.

Multi-Asset

Stocks, options, futures, and crypto — the same risk rules apply across asset classes, so one set of limits covers your whole book.

How the risk gate works

A pre-trade check, not a market call. The gate only asks whether the order fits your rules.

Step 1

Set your rules

Choose your limits, including 2% risk per trade, a 20% maximum position, a warning at a 4% daily loss, a hard lockout at 5%, and a 20% total drawdown kill switch. Prop-firm presets apply the firm's limits with safety buffers.

Step 2

Place your order

You place the order as usual. GodFin receives it for checking before it reaches your broker.

Step 3

The gate checks it

The order is measured against position size, daily loss, and total drawdown. If any limit would be breached, the order is blocked and you are told which rule stopped it.

Step 4

Blocked or passed on

Orders that pass go on to your broker. Blocked orders do not. Broker connections are being switched on one at a time. None is available to users yet.
